A team of 4 Austrian Doctors and Veterinarians:-  Dr. P. Weiermayer, Dr. Michael Frass, Dr. Thomas Peinbauer and Dr. Liesbeth Ellinger have recently released an article with subject: The potential to help overcome the antimicrobial resistance problem using Evidence-based homeopathy and veterinary homeopathy.

As according to the WHO, the antimicrobial resistance problem poses a global threat, this article elaborates on the basic principles of homeopathy, its legal and scientific foundations.  These are discussed in an overview to address the positions of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the commission of the European Union (EU) on complementary medicine, expanding on the available evidence regarding the effectiveness of human and veterinary homeopathy and in particular of homeopathic treatment for infections. It concludes that individualized homeopathy meets high quality criteria for effectiveness.
